The E-Z Burr is an innovative approach to putting a burr on card scrapers – both straight and gooseneck.  Instead of holding the scraper stationary, we have designed a system where the burnishing rod is held stationary in a vise.  The scraper is burred by moving the scraper back and forth.  A consistent angle is achieved by keeping the scraper flat on the top surface of the vise.  The “open” design allows for burring gooseneck and curved scraper edges just as easily as regular card scrapers.  One side of the E-Z Burr has a notch to hold a fine tooth file to prepare the scraper edge for burnishing.  The top of the fixture has CNC holes bored to exacting standards at 0°, 5°, 10°, and 15°, so you can vary the aggressiveness of the scraping action.  The hardened burnishing pin will provide years of use.  Benefits:  Preparing your project for finishing can be done quicker with a scraper as compared to sanding; Scrapping is quiter with no numbing vibrations in your hands and arms; No dust to breathe.  Body constructed of anodized aluminum.
